About This Session:
Not only is Katherine and Robert's Ann Arbor home infused with the loveliest morning light, but love, hospitality, and generosity radiate just as powerfully. Even as we were capturing these precious family moments on March 1, 2020, their weekend guests were enjoying breakfast, cooing over their children, and savoring the peace that seems to settle over the household. This kind of joyful rest is not happenstance; it is made. An artist herself (https://www.katherine-knuth.com/), Katherine made their home outwardly beautiful by selecting color palettes, framed artwork, and furniture with care not only for her immediate family members, but also for the guests that they so often host. Alone with their children, Katherine and Robert are attentive, gentle, and enraptured. To see old friends so tenderly devote themselves to their children has been the greatest gift to my husband and me. These photographs offer but a taste of the purity, vulnerability, and warmth which buds and blooms in the Knuths' Michigan home.
