About the Session:
This session brought me to tears several times with its sweetness. I have worked with the family several times before, and know they are fun, goofy and so so loving with each other. Mom wanted a session that would capture the essence of their family at this moment in time, three children under five years old. It's not always easy, but its joyful, and these photos radiated that joy perfectly.
We chose some activities that the family loves to do together - dance party, baking cookies, ice cream sundaes, and painting nails with mom. The kids had so much fun and the parents kept taking moments to look at each other and soak in the beauty that was this little family they created. Having welcomed a daughter of my own this past year, I kepting put myself in their shoes without intending to by picturing my life several years from now, with Josephine as an older child playing with her siblings, and each time it brought me to tears.
Later, the mom shared with me, "You have captured a beautiful phase of our life that is chaotic, joyful and full of innocence with littles." I will forever adore this session, and it taught me so much about planning, listenting to the clients and working with them to dream up their perfect session.
